Well, I may sound crazy, but I just finished reading the book of 1 Nephi, but there is a little catch to that... I read it in two days... Really more like one. And holy cow, is all I can say.
I have learned so much and have read verses that I didn't even know existed. I have found so much comfort in these scriptures. I hope to continue reading the Book of Mormon at such a great pace and learn so much more and strengthen my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of the Book of Mormon.
"That these plates of brass should go forth unto all nations, kindreds, tounges, and people who were of his seed. Wherefore, he said that these plates of brass should never perish; neither should they be dimmed any more by time..." - 1 Nephi 5:18-19
"Wherefore, the Lord hath commanded me to make these plates for a wise purpose in him, which purpose I know not." - 1 Nephi 9:5
"Wherefore, all mankind were in a lost and fallen state, and ever would be saved should they rely on this Redeemer." - 1 Nephi 10:6
"For he is the same yesterday, to-day, and forever; and the way is prepared for all men from the foundation of the world, if it so be that they repent and come unto him. For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost, as well in these times as in times of old, and as well in times of old as in times to come; wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round." - 1 Nephi 10:18-19
"...for because of their faith in the Lamb of God their garments are made white in his blood." - 1 Nephi 12:10
"And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end they shall be lifted up in the last day, and shall be saved in the everlasting kingdom of the Lamb; and whoso shall publish peace, yea, tidings of great joy, how beautiful upon the mountains shall they be." - 1 Nephi 13:37
"And I said unto them: Have ye inquired of the Lord?" - 1 Nephi 15:8
"And the world, because of their iniquity, shall judge him to be a thing of naught; wherefore, they scourge him, and he suffereth it; and they smite him, and he suffereth it. Yea, they spit upon him, and he suffereth it, because of his loving kindness and his long-suffering towards the children of men." - 1 Nephi 19:9
"Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands..." - 1 Nephi 21:16
"And he gathereth his children from the four quarters of the earth; and he numbereth his sheep, and they know him; and there shall be one fold and one shepherd; and he shall feed his sheep, and in him they shall find pasture." - 1 Nephi 22:25
